Bark beetles cause significant damage to stone and pome fruit trees and vineyards throughout our country. Major damage occurs in hazelnut fields in the Black Sea region.

The fact that the pests live under the bark and come out of their galleries only in their adult stages makes chemical control difficult. Thus, traps are important in control pests effectively.

Traps set up with the combination of red glue and attractant should be used as 1 trap per 5 decare area for monitoring purposes and 2 traps per 1 decare area for control purposes.
